Strategic Sourcing Manager-Technology
**Location:** This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations. The **Strategic Sourcing Manager (Technology)** plays a critical role by leading the execution and implementation of high-value, complex Technology Sourcing and contracting initiatives. This role demands a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, private and public cloud environments, various IT technologies, strategic sourcing best practices, and strong legal acumen to navigate contractual changes effectively. **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** Your expertise in sourcing technology infrastructure, hardware, cloud, and software will ensure compliance with sourcing standards while providing exceptional experiences for internal clients. You will source innovative solutions using your functional and technical expertise to address challenging business and customer issues. Furthermore, you will shape Elevance Health’s digital transformation by sourcing technology solutions aligned with strategic roadmaps and delivery plans, building relationships with senior customer executives, and mentoring junior colleagues. Additionally, you will lead initiatives like category strategies and TCO analyses. **_How you will make an impact:_** As part of a team of sourcing experts, you will drive high-impact strategic sourcing events across the organization’s critical technology categories. You will use your extensive expertise in technology categories to co-create and execute sourcing events with business unit stakeholders, implementing innovative strategies for complex, high-value technology purchases. You will also be responsible for crafting creative sourcing strategies and contractual solutions, aiming to deliver top-tier products and services while protecting the organization from risk. This role is also integral to the company’s Procurement transformation, a strategic initiative to streamline and simplify sourcing processes, offering a unique chance to evolve Elevance Health’s Procurement practices and redefine team functions. + Participates in cross-enterprise commodity teams for sub-categories and aggressively tracks and improves non-compliance preferred supplier(s). + Participates in fact-based negotiations and executes contracts utilizing approved terms and conditions. + Implements sourcing recommendations and develops and manages e-procurement catalog content. + Aggressively monitors, tracks and reports supplier compliance and performance benefits. **Minimum requirements:** Requires a BA/BS; 8 years of experience in sourcing/supplier selection with at least 6 years experience with negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. **Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:** + MBA or other advanced degree preferred. + CPM preferred. + A minimum of 8+ years in a professional business environment with at least five years of relevant sourcing experience preferred. + Possess deep strategic sourcing knowledge across standard technology categories to drive exceptional sourcing strategies. + Extensive experience in sourcing steps and processes, such as conducting spend analysis, total cost of ownership/cost breakdown analysis, and developing sourcing strategies + Proficiency in negotiating, business case development, and mapping product/service requirements and features + Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, along with the ability to articulate creative solutions quickly. + Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time, handle multiple priorities, and navigate ambiguous situations. + Experience with technology solutions that digitize and automate sourcing processes + Experience in procurement transformation within a global organization is highly valued. + Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. _For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $94,000 to $162,150_ _Location: California_ _In addition to your salary, Elevance Health offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
