Job description:

The Power Technique Service Division (PTS) is the aftermarket / service division in the Power Technique Business Area of Atlas Copco. It provides a complete range of aftermarket services with the aim to maximize customers’ productivity and focuses on supply of spare parts and professional service for the Power Technique equipment. This position will report to PTS Purchaser Team Lead in Rock Hill - SC

Main responsibilities:

Continuously reduce working capital tied-up by working actively with suppliers on the supplier excellence program: cutting supplier lead-times and lot sizes - and at same time boost inbound delivery performance towards our Service Centers.Responsible for assigned direct purchasing commodities and driving strategic sourcing exercises that fulfill company goals and needs in a cost-effective way.Provide fast and accurate Master Data Updates to our Service Centers at all times.Assure accurate and pro-active communication between our suppliers and Service Centers.Pro-actively be involved in phase-in and phase-out projects related to products developed in the product company / division you are located.Represent PTS in project-teams linked to new product introduction projects for PT.Assist in the SPP (spare parts proposal) process for the US and work together with the product company and divisional teams to ensure correct spare parts setup for new machines.Work hand in hand with our Product Company Purchasing & Service Center teams to ensure our common AC goals are met.Actively support our Regional/Global Service Centers to assure highest availability of spare parts and consumables to our worldwide customers.Responsible for follow-up on corrective actions for quality supplier issues.Take clear ownership for PTS for all purchasing & logistics related issues linked to the PC/Division.Assure that our supplier base fulfills the corporate governance standards of the AC Group, including environmental and ethical standards, described in the business code of practice.Support localization projects within the US market.Report on monthly basis the progress and achievements with clear quantified benefits.

Experience requirements:

Commercial and/or technical experience within a purchasing/service organizationTechnical knowledge of construction equipment and/or business practices is a benefitGood knowledge and understanding of business systems SAP, BPCS, etc. is a plusDemonstrate the ability to effectively manage supplier relationships, which includes relationship building, tracking performance and developmentExperienced with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Passport required

Additional information:

Frequent Travel Required - The position will be based in Rock Hill, SC but frequent presence in the Service Center in Charlotte is required. Also, supplier visits are a requirement and some international travel.
