We are looking for an experienced, professional, and ambitious Strategic Supplies Sourcing Business Manager. This role is responsible for providing leadership to individual contributors, identifying opportunities for process improvement, collaborating with various stakeholders, and managing R&D of new technologies. The role applies advanced subject matter knowledge to proactively improve the processes, reduce costs, drive schedules and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors
Source and evaluate suppliers\technologies\solutions
Coordinating, managing, and leading programs to drive the engineering development and implementation of products and service offerings
Acts as subject matter expert, identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy
Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects
Ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps
Drive collaboration - Establishes technology and product goals with tech leads, partners, clients, and executive leadership
Uses communication and program management skills to drive schedules and resolve issues
Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners
Build and manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers
Setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs
Ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources
Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities
Technically leads and/or executes engineering projects and spearheads research and development of new technologies
Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development
Ensures proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
5–10 years of relevant experience in supplier management within global environments.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
