The Role and the Team
We are seeking a Strategic Vendor Manager to join our dynamic and high-performing Procurement team. This role is integral to supporting the Procurement function with a focus on marketing-related vendor agreements. The successful candidate will be proficient in negotiations, contracting (both process and commercial language), vendor management, and driving cost savings within this specialized area. Job Responsibilities

Lead supplier sourcing projects, RFPs, negotiations, and vendor management across marketing categories (corporate marketing, field marketing, channel marketing, demand generation, product, digital and communications) implementing strategic agreements to optimize procurement for marketing needs.Proactively manage marketing renewals and new upcoming contracts in the pipeline.Develop and implement a strategic sourcing framework that focuses on cost, risk mitigation, and supplier performance management within these categories.Sourcing Team Collaboration: Drive and support sourcing teams to achieve optimal procurement outcomes, ensuring alignment with category and company objectives.Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including Executive Management, to understand business requirements, develop appropriate sourcing strategies, and ensure alignment with organisational goals.Execute agreements with a thorough understanding of terms, SLAs, addendums, and contractual elements specific to marketing services, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure.Partner with Legal and Finance to support contracting, cost allocation, and timely vendor payment.Lead spend management projects, focusing on cost savings, operational improvement, and vendor consolidation or diversification within the marketing categories.Provide support on ad hoc requests and projects, collaborating with procurement teammates to drive functional success.Support and promote company-wide procurement policies, with a focus on compliance and best practices for marketing related procurement.

Qualifications

Experience working in a procurement environment with specific focus on marketing services; categories to include: corporate marketing, channel marketing, demand generation, product, digital and communications.Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field.Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing specific vendors and key contractual terms and conditions.Ability to analyze data and effectively communicate interpretations and recommendations specific to marketing services.Experience managing cross-functional projects and programs, with an ability to work closely with diverse teams.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong multi-tasking abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Procurement system knowledge preferable (Dynamics 365, JIRA, Agiloft software, Power BI, a plus).

Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable pay and/or equity. SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 93,730.00 - 147,290.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 74,550.00 - 117,150.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 66,640.00 - 104,720.00 USD
