Strategist Center Store Remote ROLE OVERVIEW: The Center Store Strategist will develop and deliver best in class strategies and capabilities to advance the Take Home business. They are a Category Leadership subject matter expert responsible for informing and influencing 1 – 3 year strategy creation through the analysis of syndicated data, loyalty card data, consumer insights, shopper research, and planogram insights. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Act as Center Store subject matter expert to advance Hershey’s Take Home business to achieve topline sales plan, net sales goals, share and distribution targets • Collaborate with internal cross functional partners on the development of annual portfolio and shelf strategies • Develop macro space planning playbook to win today and plan for growth for tomorrow, enhancing our consultative partnership with retailers, penetrating all silo’s (store planning, merchants, operators, tech, etc.) • Consult and advise subset of Category Leadership customer teams on Center Store insights, strategies and recommendations to maximize aisle productivity • Lead GCIC Center Store content creation and present as the subject matter expert, influencing across all levels of external business partners and key decision makers • Create planograms for advanced initiatives, including clustering and virtual reality testing • Create Category Leadership department efficiencies by creating and improving tools and resources used by Category Leadership field sales teams to execute Center Store strategies • Identify experiential opportunities to unlock next generation space acquisition across the entire portfolio and all customer touchpoints EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Required EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: • Minimum 5+ years experience in Category Management and/or customer sales • Ability to build dynamic relationships with Key Decision Makers and comfortability interacting with decision makers at senior levels of the organization. • Ability to collaborate with cross functional partners internally, to leverage insights to activate and push out solutions across the enterprise • Strong knowledge of Category Management principles • Advanced space planning/JDA capabilities • Strong knowledge of syndicated data (e.g. IRI, Nielsen) and its nuances • Analytical skills and the ability to extract insights from complex datasets • Proven ability to build a compelling story and explain insights to individuals with different levels of knowledge on the subject The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
