Strategy, Planning & Performance Summer Intern
Our Diversified Business Group division has an opportunity for an MBA/Masters level summer intern to join the Strategy, Planning & Performance (SPP) team.
The Strategy, Planning & Performance Intern joins the DBG vertical responsible for the long-term strategy of existing and new ventures including annual strategic planning and ongoing business performance.
What You’ll Do
The Strategy, Planning and Performance intern will gain experience working on a variety of projects such as: support strategy development for our asset portfolio and potential new ventures; support discussion with fund partners, startups and other interesting market players to gain insights and create connections in support of core business functions; and support strategy and new ventures contributions to recurring governance functions such as divisional or enterprise quarterly business reviews. You may also support divisional and inter-divisional planning processes to advocate for the priorities, needs, and outputs of the Diversified Business Group.
What You Bring
You will graduate from an accredited university or college with an MBA, MPH or MHA in December 2025 or May 2026. Project management experienceStrong critical thinking and communication skillsSolid organizational skills including prioritization and time managementProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and PowerPointExposure to healthcare through coursework or prior work/internshipsCuriosity, drive and the ability to work independently and in a team.Bonus Points

Undergraduates: Rising Sophomore: $18/hr
Undergraduates: Rising Junior/Senior: $21/hr
Returning Interns: $23/hr
Masters Students/JD: $27/hr
MBA Students/PharmD: $36/hr
Salary Range
At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
