Job Description Summary: The Strategy Analyst Intern will work with the Strategy and Development team to explore opportunities which will drive the company toward future success. This person will be responsible for analyzing possible paths that coincide with Green Plains’ goals and ideals. These analyses will then be used by stakeholders for driving key business ventures. To be successful in this position, a qualified candidate must be an independent, critical thinker, possess an ability to quickly decipher valuable from inaccurate data, and must have an in-depth understanding of business processes and have a forward-thinking mindset.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to support strategy development and investment prioritization Conduct detailed market research and analysis Develop financial/statistical models to drive recommendations Work independently and effectively within and across teams
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in relevant field Independent, forward-thinking. It is important to see where Green Plains is headed and find the most beneficial path to get there in order to achieve success. This position requires someone who cares about presentation as well as accuracy of their presented work. Someone who is a go-getter and will show up on time and give 100% at all times. Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical to succeed in this role and coordinate with many different departments within the business. Financial modeling background is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Experience with Data Analytics and/or Financial Modelling preferred.Work Environment/Physical Demands:
