Role description:

The Places Global Business Area (GBA) is the largest of Arcadis’ four GBAs, driving innovative solutions and creating significant impact across diverse markets. As a cornerstone of Arcadis’ global operations, Places GBA leads strategic initiatives that align with the organization’s overall vision while delivering exceptional value to clients worldwide.

The Places Management Team (PMT) of Places GBA plays a critical role in shaping and executing the business area’s global strategy, fostering collaboration across regions, and ensuring the delivery of key objectives. To support this mission, the GBA Strategy Support Specialist will partner with the PMT to provide actionable insights, craft high-quality presentations, and enhance internal and external communications. This role will be integral to enabling the PMT to achieve their strategic goals effectively.

Role accountabilities:

Supporting the development and implementation of the global Places GBA strategy through analysis, insights, and strategic recommendations. Preparing and drafting internal and external presentations and publications for the PMT, ensuring clarity and alignment with the GBA’s objectives. Conducting market research, pipeline analysis, and competitive benchmarking to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Interpreting sector market research findings and providing actionable recommendations to the PMT. Analyzing financial data and results, creating dashboards, and drawing meaningful conclusions to guide decision-making. Reviewing and supporting brand and sector awareness initiatives, including generating social media content, reviewing third-party reports, and curating relevant materials for publication. Facilitating communication and collaboration across business lines, global sectors, and regional offices to align with strategic objectives. Developing and maintaining a repository of strategic reference materials, ensuring accessibility for PMT and stakeholders. Organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, and collaborative sessions for the PMT and broader Places GBA team. Supporting and participating in ad hoc tasks and special projects as required by the PMT.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Analytics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred). At least 10 years of experience in a strategy, analytics, or business development role, ideally within a multinational organization or a leading consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain). Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with proficiency in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. Proven ability to analyze financial data, market trends, and other metrics to inform strategic decisions. Strong skills in developing polished presentations and communication materials.
