Strategy and M&A Leader

PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The Strategy and M&A Leader will be an integral member of the Insulation Strategy team and will be leading and contributing to impactful strategy projects related to long range planning, strategy execution, growth projects, market and competitor landscape evaluation, game theory, business cases and M&A target evaluation. This role will focus on the driving strategy for the Building Insulation business, focusing on product and services used in the residential, commercial, horticultural and emerging applications. Responsibilities will revolve around working across the Insulation organization, leveraging strategy experience, critical thinking, and work ethic, to help Owens Corning Insulation meet its growth objectives.

In all aspects of the position, the Strategy Leader demonstrates teamwork and commitment to the success of Owens Corning.

 

Reports to:  VP, Strategic Marketing   

Span of Control: Individual contributor with opportunity to lead SADPs and SLDPs

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Developing & Executing Strategy for the Building Insulation Business

Partner with businesses to develop and refine their strategies for the product and services used in residential, commercial, horticultural and emerging applications. Support business strategy projects and gaming sessions by owning key work streams within Spray Foam, Fiberglass, Mineral Wool and across Insulation as a whole. Lead / Support cross-functional teams to efficiently answer and implement solutions to strategic questions. Apply project management skills and tools to meet all deadlines. Leverage different data sources to create a data-driven fact base. Utilize strategic frameworks and hypotheses to efficiently answer the essential questions. Drive new and interesting findings supported by a strong fact base. Identify executable next steps to quickly implement the recommended approach. Create impactful presentations and models to communicate recommendations. Participate in the development of the strategic plans for Insulation businesses and Insulation as a whole.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, strategy, finance, accounting or business; an MBA is strongly preferred. A combination of a minimum of 7 years of strategic marketing, finance, analytical, consulting, or corporate strategy experience. Travel: Willingness to travel periodically – 15-20%

 

EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in consulting or internal strategy roles Project management experience Experience working for a multi-national manufacturing/industrial company Experience leading and developing others preferred.
