EY Strategy and Transactions (“SaT) support and advise clients on achieving their corporate strategic ambitions at all stages of the capital life cycle. Strategy and Transactions Ireland – Transaction Diligence

Our Ireland FSO SaT practice is a core part of our integrated EMEIA SaT team, working cross border for strategic corporates and international private equity or sovereign wealth clients. The Transaction Diligence team assists clients throughout the entire transaction life cycle to identify deal drivers and assess issues that impact equity value  while working closely with other specialists both within SaT and other Service Lines. We utilise professional experience, sector experts and leverage data analytic driven insights to provide best in class transaction advise to our clients.
 

Focused on global Financial Service (“FS”) Transactions

As a result of sustained growth and significant market activity in the Irish and international market, the team continues to grow executing market leading transactions in sectors including; aircraft leasing, aviation finance, airline, international and domestic banking, insurance, RegTech, InsurTech, professional services, alternative lending platforms, Fintech, Fx and payments, retail wealth management, international fund services, asset servicing, investment management, private equity and sovereign wealth.

 

Your key responsibilities 

As a SaT professional you will have the opportunity to work on global and high profile engagements as part of a market leading team, combined with significant development opportunities to step up and take early responsibility. 
 

You will be a key part of a team of transaction professionals delivering critical insights and reports across vendor and buy side due diligence, seller assistance and other transaction support roles.
 

Our projects are typically complex, integrated assignments that involve working with colleagues across a variety of disciplines and jurisdictions, as well as other professional advisers. You'll work with the world’s leading corporate organisations, fastest-growing companies and private equity firms on some of the largest cross-border engagements in the global market.  
 

You will grow your self-confidence towards becoming the key touchpoint for client relationships through leading interactions with both client and target staff across the engagement lifecycle. 
 

You will play an increasingly important role in SaT business plan initiatives (e.g. key accounts, recruitment, client service framework) If you understand capital and how to make it work harder, Strategy and Transactions will offer the career opportunities you’re looking for. What we are looking for

High quality experienced candidates with an appetite to grow professionally, a clear track record of understanding the transaction lifecycle and the ability to lead teams in delivering high quality client experiences

Your responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of client deliverables including excel data books, analysis, reports, presentations and discussion packs Analyse and interpret the financial and operational results of companies targeted for sale by reviewing financial information and participating in interviews with management. Based on understanding the key business drivers, prepare and review analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact funding requirements and deal valuation Embrace our technology and innovation to enhance our client deliverables and the quality of our client engagement Utilise technology tools to efficiently collate, analyse and interpret underlying data to help provide insights for clients Work closely with all team members as well as forming strong internal links within transaction support and other departments in EY both in the Ireland and internationally to form multi-disciplinary teams

 

To qualify for the role you must have 

Strong academic record including a degree in Business / Commerce or equivalent qualification 0-3+ years post qualification transaction due diligence experience or comparable experience Personal and professional ambition and a desire to make your mark Integrity and clear core values Ability to attend the Dublin EY office a number of days a week Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification

 Ideally, you’ll also have 

Desire to work effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, coaching colleagues and promoting open honest communication Experience utilising data analysis and visualisation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI etc. The courage to do the right thing and be a leader our people can look up to Curiosity to understand our clients’ businesses and the rational for their strategic ambition  Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas Strong word, excel and PowerPoint skills
