The Strategy Lead for US Segment Strategy & Transformation plays a crucial role in shaping and executing John Hancock's long-term strategy. Reporting directly to the AVP of Strategic Planning & Portfolio Oversight, this position drives strategic initiatives by providing data-driven insights and advisory services to senior management. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with Business Unit Strategy teams, ensuring efficient execution of initiatives, and contribute to the company's growth by analyzing business priorities and monitoring industry trends.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with US Segment and Global partners for strategic planning and reporting.
Deliver recommendations to senior management on strategic direction.
Develop executive presentation materials and performance reports.
Analyze business priorities and evaluate growth options.
Monitor industry trends and conduct external research for strategic insights.
Develop delivery roadmaps and support portfolio management reporting.
Assist in strategic communications and support internal communication strategies.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of progressively senior experience.
Advanced degree in business or equivalent; management consulting experience is an asset.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong financial services business acumen.
Experience in strategic planning and execution of large-scale transformations.

Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps.
Experience in a matrixed, geographically dispersed organization.
Aptitude for strategic, critical, and analytical thinking.
