As a strategy manager, you drive high quality decision making within high impact projects in the complex and dynamic environment of ASML. You support, lead and facilitate project teams to enable ASML’s key decision makers to make high quality decisions.
In this role, you will join the Strategic Decision Support (SDS) department, a team that supports strategy projects within ASML. Your position is part of ASML's Finance organization and has high visibility across the entire ASML organization.
Role and responsibilitiesThe SDS department focuses on strategic and complex business decisions across ASML. While being part of the Finance organization and through its broad scope, the SDS department is involved with and exposed to very diverse challenges such as: Capacity decisions, Footprint Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategy Development, and Portfolio Development.
In this role, you will:
Support, lead and facilitate strategy project teams and guide the teams through the necessary dialogue and analysis appropriate for the decision situation and related governance timelinesStructure the decision situation and translate the business context into abstract analytical models for quantitative analysisPrepare and communicate high quality insights to provide senior management with a solid basis for decision makingHelp internal stakeholders to apply best practices and support the Decision Quality (DQ) faculty to improve mindset towards decision making under uncertainty and build decision science and strategy capability within ASMLEducation and experience10+ years of experience, including strategy/management consulting from Top tier consulting firms, or similar backgroundExperience in structuring, simplifying and solving strategy problems, having mastered skills such as: problem structuring, financial analysis, managing complexity and ambiguity and strategic thinking as key learning from your past working experienceDemonstrated seniority in facilitating senior stakeholders through a structured dialogue in a complex organization and in the field of strategy, R&D, product portfolio management, operations, supply chain management or M&ADemonstrated experience in leading strategy projects for senior decision-makersTypically a completed quantitative study at master or PhD level (e.g., operations research, economics, econometrics, mathematics, engineering or physics) serves as a good basis to be successful in this role while an affinity with finance or (business) economics will be essential; MBA is a plusThe essential quantitative skills that are required in this job should in such case be demonstrated through specific and equivalent past working experienceSkillsWorking at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that.
