Purpose
The role of the Strategy Manager will be to support ClarusONE to deliver its overarching strategy in alignment with its annual priorities. This will be achieved through supporting annual strategic planning and working on strategically important projects. This is a key role to support ClarusONE being able to achieve its growth and strategic ambitions in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
The role will report to the Director, Strategy and Business Development and will be required to work closely across all business functions in the organisation. This will also extend outwards to external stakeholders with the McKesson and Walmart businesses, as well as our Supplier partners.
This is a high-exposure role with plenty of opportunity to demonstrate skills and capabilities to senior leadership within ClarusONE, but also across McKesson and Walmart, and should appeal to those who would be energised in this environment.
This role also presents a unique opportunity to work in a truly global business which provides exposure to different global markets and the macroeconomic nuances within which our customers and suppliers operate within.
Responsibilities:
Manages strategic projects; maintains responsibility for deliverables and timelines; manages stakeholder relationships and expectations
Works with Finance and Analytics to establish analytical frameworks and conducts complex business analyses where needed
Conducts external research / data gathering and analysis and partners with the Market Analyst to support strategic insights
Supports the ClarusONE Director Strategy and Business Development to support the ClarusONE Leadership team to help them achieve long term goals and project objectives
Creates high-quality presentations / deliverables for various internal and external audiences, tailoring content and key messaging accordingly
Maintains thorough knowledge of company's products, competition, and broader market dynamics that frame the business context both present and over the LRP period
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Strategy, or a related field
Demonstrable experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or a related field
Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives
Exposure to the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector is preferable
Knowledge/Skills:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Can build and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex business environments
Familiarity with the generics pharmaceutical industry and supply chain environment is preferable
Proficiency in applying strategic planning tools and models to help solve problems
Strong command of market research and data analysis techniques
Understanding of Corporate Finance and the role it plays in supporting other business functions with annual strategic planning
