Strategy & Planning Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

A bit about the job:

We are seeking a strategy and planning manager to join our Distribution leadership team for a 12-month maternity leave cover. You will report directly to the Chief Distribution Officer and be a member of the Distribution Leadership Team. You will work closely with all teams within Distribution and form strong relationships with teams across Aviva Investors. In this role you will be supporting the business head’s strategic goals to be a global, profitable, and focussed business by defining and embedding distribution strategy and objectives and being a trusted adviser. The successful candidate will be working in partnership with the client channel heads and teams to define key priorities and support and advise on strategic business planning. You will play a critical role partnering with relevant stakeholders to construct the distribution 3 years plan whilst monitoring it monthly. You will need to provide Board, Executive and Distribution Leadership team Management Information and also deal with cost and flightpath management in collaboration with finance and HR business partners.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

A proven ability to translate complex financial reports into business relevant presentations for senior colleagues.

A strategic thinker who can understand the broader issues impacting Aviva Investors, its stakeholders and the wider market.

An exceptional influencer who can use strong interpersonal skills to build empathy and understanding with many and varied stakeholders.

Experience of building and tracking key metrics and KPIs

Excellent communication skills including proposal / presentation development and delivery and meeting facilitation.
