Strategy & Planning Principal, Personal Systems Supply Chain

Job Description:

HP is seeking a Strategy & Planning Principal for the Personal Systems Supply Chain team.  In this role, you will work side by side with the leadership team to drive an effective operating cadence across the organization including strategic alignment and direction of the business. Additionally, the Strategy & Planning Principal will lead both ad hoc and strategic projects on an as-needed basis – anything that is needed to keep the organization running smoothly and to ensure the team is working towards the same objectives/outcomes. Specifically, we are looking for a strong leader that can manage/direct while proactively building program management and executional capability in others. The position organizes and drives critical strategic projects.  The leader and their team will design and implement strategy to transform the Manufacturing organization, re-engineer processes, implement tools to simplify activities.

Responsibilities
 

Supports the Supply Chain leader with building and developing high-impact, cross-functional mechanisms (KPI/instrumentation, forums/reviews and communications) to ensure the effective management of the supply chain functions globally while optimizing business results.Manages internal communications and engagement for the Supply Chain. Ensures messages are clearly delivered globally to a diverse audience.Develops and drives strategic programs, supply chain SCOR models and market strategies for breakthrough improvement.Builds financially sound, executable, data-driven strategies and project plans that improve shareholder value.Participates at Supply Chain level on Strategic Planning and priorities for Operations at HP.Sets overall program initiatives, allocates financial and human capital for supply chain programs and projects, and ensures timely and effective delivery of supply chain programs.Applies industry and subject matter expertise to solve a variety of highly complex supply chain issues.Develops and leads planning, design, implementation, communication and delivery of the company's supply chain network design and architecture initiatives across a large business group or region(s).Actively partners with and influences internal and external stakeholders and/or suppliers at the executive level on a regular basis.Drives multi-year supply chain strategies and initiatives at the regional/global/business group level by exercising governance oversight in one or more areas (e.g., key policy decisions, resolution of high impact issues, etc.).Develops business cases and financial models to support investment decisions in new markets, technologies, or partnerships; leads due diligence efforts for strategic partnerships or acquisitions related to supply chain and operations.Recommends metrics to be tracked for supply chain programs and projects, and monitors and manages key performance indicators for delivery, revenue, and margin.Drive Enterprise Level Strategic Initiatives: Own and deliver key CxO level priority cross-functional initiatives which will shape the enterprise strategy, execution and financial performanceProcess Standardization and Convergence: Drive the unification of business processes including analyzing existing processes, identifying best practices, and developing a roadmap for standardizing processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.Process Re-engineering and Simplification: Lead initiatives to streamline and optimize business processes. This includes simplifying complex workflows, removing redundancies, and introducing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and effectiveness.Change management and enablement: Guide the organization through significant transformation and ensure the organization is well-supported and trained in new processes and systems. Develop comprehensive training programs and support mechanisms to facilitate smooth transitions.Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Act as the primary liaison between various stakeholders, including senior management, regional leaders, and functional teams. Ensure clear communication and alignment of process management goals and initiatives across the organization.

Education & Experience Recommended

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. MBA preferredTypically has 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in strategy, consulting, supply chain, operations, or a related field.

The base pay range for this role is $ 115,850 to $ 178,400 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
