Overview The Strategy Portfolio Manager supports the Chief Strategy and Development Office (CSDO) across multiple initiatives, serving as a strategic thought leader and project manager. This role oversees key system strategy initiatives with significant operational, strategic, and financial implications, ensuring alignment with Fairview’s strategic priorities. Responsibilities include portfolio management, stakeholder collaboration, and driving innovation through frameworks, research, and strategic insight. The Strategy Portfolio Manager partners with leadership to develop project frameworks, business cases, and final deliverables, fostering organizational transformation and growth. Responsibilities Job Description Portfolio Management, Execution & Quality Oversee and manage assigned strategy initiatives, ensuring alignment with HEALTH SYSTEM’s strategic priorities. Develop comprehensive plans for initiatives, including deliverables, resources, milestones, accountabilities, and communication strategies. Monitor progress, quality, and budget, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes. Facilitate governance processes by clarifying accountabilities, building agendas, and enabling effective decision-making. Identify, manage, and escalate risks, barriers, and issues, ensuring successful implementation of strategies. Conduct post-implementation reviews and report on project metrics to evaluate success and quality. Lead documentation of learnings from strategic and innovation initiatives to enhance organizational agility. Stakeholder engagement and Collaboration Act as a trusted partner to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and proactive communication of progress and metrics. Facilitate group discussions to develop strategic options and gain consensus on direction. Represent initiatives with deep knowledge of objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Develop and present strategic plan tracking reports and related documentation to executive leadership. Strategic Insight and Innovation Act as a trusted partner to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and proactive communication of progress and metrics. Facilitate group discussions to develop strategic options and gain consensus on direction. Represent initiatives with deep knowledge of objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Qualifications Required Education Master’s in healthcare administration Experience Over 5 years of program management experience in complex and highly matrixed healthcare organizations, overseeing system-wide projects with successful outcomes. More than 5 years of portfolio management experience leading cross-functional teams, managing a diverse project portfolio, and consistently achieving business objectives. Competent in project management methodologies, processes, and industry-standard tools, with a proven track record of managing project plans, schedules, test plans, resources, and budgets. Skilled in change management principles with the ability to drive effective transitions and organizational change. Proven ability to present project-related information clearly, concisely, and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels, including executives. Demonstrated competence in managing ambiguity and navigating complex situations with effective solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at addressing challenges and developing strategic solutions. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook, with advanced capabilities in utilizing these tools for project management. Excellent communication and facilitation skills with a track record of driving issue resolution and fostering collaborative environments. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all organizational levels, fostering rapport and collaboration to achieve common goals.
