Stream Restoration Specialist
Job Title: Stream Restoration Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Stream Restoration Specialist to join our team in the rewarding field of ecosystem restoration. The successful candidate will work both in the field and the office, supporting oversight of restoration and nature-based resilience sites throughout their project lifespan. The focus will be on stream restoration projects from design and permitting through post-restoration monitoring.

Responsibilities

Support stream monitoring program, which includes reviewing design plans and reports.Apply for permits and approvals necessary for restoration projects.Collect, reduce, and analyze geomorphic data.Develop monitoring reports and supervise construction of restoration projects.Collaborate with subcontractors and sub-consultants across multiple projects.Coordinate with teams and Sr. staff to ensure project success.Manage restoration projects involving streams, wetlands, living shorelines, and stormwater systems.Oversee construction for stream and/or wetland restoration.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources, Environmental Science, Aquatic Ecology, Environmental or Civil Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in environmental monitoring and/or restoration, with a preference for stream restoration experience.Strong project management skills with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.High-quality technical writing and documentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with ArcMap, AutoCAD, and project/resource management tools.Experience with stream geomorphology assessments, BANCS, habitat surveys, and Rosgen classification.Knowledge of stream monitoring protocols and regulatory requirements.Experience in post-construction monitoring, data analysis, and reporting.Construction oversight experience for stream and/or wetland restoration.Functional assessment experience for stream and/or wetland ecosystems.Knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes, especially in Maryland.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Annapolis, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

Quarterly team building events. Holiday party, we are closed the week between Christmas and New Year's

This is a fully onsite position in Annapolis,MD.
