KXAN seeks to hire a streaming content producer to produce and manage content for digital platforms, including a connected television app, YouTube channel and website live streams.

Responsibilities:

Content creation: Work collaboratively with the team of video journalists and reporters to create content that's optimized for multiple platforms, including broadcast television, websites and social mediaContent curation: Schedule connected television app programming by crafting blocks of engaging content. Manage YouTube strategy to increase audience size and loyalty.Organization: Organize source materials into multimedia pieces and aggregated video streams.Live Stream Production: Assist with live streams of breaking news, daily events and pre-planned programming.Guest interview management: Book and produce conversations with invited guests, both virtual and in-person.

​Skills and experience: 

Experience producing streaming or social video contentUnderstanding of digital platforms, trends and audience behaviorsKnowledge of WordPress, OBS, Akta or similar digital content management systemsStrong writing and editorial abilityAbility to work under tight deadlines3+ years experience in a local newsroom preferred

​Education: 

Degree in journalism, video production or other fields related to media content management
