Bachelor’s degree in sports science, athletic training, exercise physiology or exercise science or strength and conditioning or related field required BLS certification Minimum of one year experience in the field of sports medicine training and/or a minimum of one year experience in sports performance training for athletes preferred Experience with using a variety of sports performance equipment and programming One of the following certifications within six months of hire required: National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) or Master Strength and Conditioning Coach (MSCC)Job Responsibilities:
Establishes program content and outcomes. Establishes timelines and deadlines for program development. Clear communication skills both oral and written. Works with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word). Representation of OMC as an educator, professional in the community, and at conferences. Aligns organizational needs with the Athletic Performance programs. Stays current with sports medicine and athletic performance practices. Other duties as assigned.
