You will ensure the health and safety standards and rules of the Fitness Center. By sharing your knowledge you will help maintain and ultimately increase member participation. Excellent personal and customer relation skills are required. Hours: 3 pm - 8 pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The occasional Saturday 9am -1pm. Also the flexibility to fill in for the 6am - 11am and 11 am -3 pm shift when needed. Responsibilities: + Greet each member entering the room and create an atmosphere to ensure that all members feel welcome, comfortable and safe. + Enforce the policies and rules of the fitness center. + Direct and educate members through individual orientations to the equipment including seat settings, correct form and proper use. + Conduct continuous tours of room, checking for safe and proper use of equipment and providing assistance to members whenever it is needed or requested. + Clean equipment and surfaces, and report repairs needed. + Help with inventory of equipment + Answer telephone and route the call accordingly. + Keep CPR/AED certification updated. + Attend meetings and perform other duties as requested. Qualifications + Experience in Fitness field with basic knowledge of cardiovascular and strength training preferred + Demonstrated skills in providing quality customer service + Ability to relate to people of diverse attitudes and interests + Willingness to learn CPR certification must be attained during first 6 months of employment
