Job Title: Stress Analyst

Job Description

Our client, a leader in the nuclear field, is looking for a Stress Engineer to join their team on a 1 year contract. The engineer is going to be doing stress analysis they will get work for 1-4 month blocks where they spend weeks and weeks building and modifying models to get everything to converge. They then document for a significant periods, some of the analysis they do on computer clusters will take them several days to complete. They will be a convergence to get a stable solution so they will be modifying parameters to ensure that everything is stable within the model. They will be doing modeling on large steel multiple compartment pressures of the reactor at Bruce Power. They could be analyzing of the outside of shield tank shell, modifying the whole reactor, the relief ducts, anything from fitness assessment of the entire reactor to a specific part.

This candidate will assist the Stress Engineer and will be involved with the verification of macros using Matlab and Mathcad, to verify work being done by the stress engineer. They will ensure accuracy, and as a result, must be experienced in code equations and ANSYS APDL to do so. This role can be fully remote.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
