Stress Management Specialist

Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma required.
* Registered Yoga Teacher through the National Yoga Alliance required.
* Certification from a traditional yoga teacher-training program that includes with 200 hours with 5 years' experience or, 500 hours with 3 years' experience along with breathing techniques.
* The Science and practice of medication, yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology and through background in physical postures of Hatha yoga required.
* Experience or knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, cardiovascular disease, working with the elderly or individuals with physical limitations/special needs and/or the willingness to learn required
POSITION SUMMARY
The Stress Management Specialist is responsible for implementing the Stress Management element of Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation Program and monitoring the response of each participant to the stress management intervention. Actively participates in the development of the trans-disciplinary treatment plan to ensure the quality and clinical effectiveness of the program, and the safety of each participant. Principle duties include: actively promoting Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation to prospective participants and element; presents the lessons on stress management; provides stress management practices into daily life; attends weekly team meetings/case conferences; participants response to interdisciplinary treatment plan. Ensures that the ICR program provides high level of participant satisfaction; attends and participates in mandatory monthly element specialist calls; complies with HIPAA privacy and patient confidentiality; and meets/maintains accreditation standards as required by the Dr. Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease® and provides support to alumni community as needed. The Stress Management Specialist follows evidence based nutrition principles and guidelines as outlined by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and other relevant standards, procedural guidelines and organizational policy. The Stress Management Specialist assumes responsibility for continued professional and personal growth and maintenance of current requirements. QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma required.
