What Success Looks Like:

Strong mechanical aptitude. Necessity for attention to detail.  The ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.  Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output. Ability to identify any issues with the product or process. Job requires the operator to cut the rubber stock off the mill and to be able to lift it back up to band on the mill Must be able to pull a rubber strip(s) approximately 2 to 20 inches wide, from the mill and feed it onto the take-off belt located approximately three feet away Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned Requires the operator to communicate with the additional staff members Operator must demonstrate knowledge of blender and its use Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned Fill out two-roll safety checklist Assist in establishing and maintaining compound processing procedures Fill out any applicable paperwork Cut samples for QA testing Clean grease pans weekly Keep work area clean  Following all safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures Operating a forklift for various functions.

 

Your Credentials:

One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment High School or GED preferred Willing to work overtime including weekends when required Close visual work required. Knowledge of general computer skills. Attention to detail.

 

The hourly rate for this position is $18 per hour, plus $1.00/hour shift premium for 2nd and/or 3rd shift.   

2nd Shift 2:45pm-11:00pm
