Position Summary:
The Stroke Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a high-quality, evidenced based, cost-effective system of care for stroke patients and their families throughout the continuum of care. The Stroke Coordinator works both independently and in collaboration with the stroke program medical director and other members of the health care team and the management staff. The Stroke Coordinator is self-directed and self-motivating, plans and conducts work with minimal direction, and reports the progress of Emergency Department Leadership and Hospital Quality Data & Analytics Leadership.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, regular business hours.
Required Qualifications:
• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: BSN prepared RN At least three years clinical experience in acute care Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Currently licensed as a registered nurse in Minnesota NIH Stroke Scale Certification Stroke Care RN certification or completion of within 2 years Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Ability to accept and implement change. Ability to problem solve and make decisions. Analyze and interpret complicated information. Communicate effectively with a wide variety of intra-and inter-facility staff and administration using both oral and written communication. Possessions of critical thinking, analytical, teaching/coaching, and research skills.Benefits:
