We want you to apply now! **What you will do in this role:** + You will coordinate the clinical management of the stroke patient population across the entire continuum of care. + You will serve as a leader for the stroke program performance improvement initiative. + You will act as a clinical resource/ role model for all areas caring for stroke patients. + You will provide and/or coordinate educational activities for both staff and patients. + You will oversee implementation of The Joint Commission stroke guidelines + You will need analytical skills necessary in order to develop and implement program plans, education techniques, and evaluate program effectiveness + You will perform concurrent review of stroke patients for core measure compliance. **What qualification you will need:** + Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required. + Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. + Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date) + Three year’s recent clinical experience in an Acute Care Stroke/Neuroscience Unit + BLS, ACLS required + Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Office + Ability to apply critical thinking skills for process improvement and decision making.
