The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

· AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.

· The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.

· This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.

· AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and women’s care.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Stroke/Sepsis Coordinator promotes and provides exceptional care of patients through coordination, leadership and development of processes related to the Stroke and Sepsis Programs. The coordinator aligns program goals to meet accreditation/certification standards across the continuum of care while ensuring high quality patient outcomes. This individual works collaboratively with the Quality Director in a mutually supportive relationship which is essential to the success of the program. The position is responsible for the data management and statistical analysis needed to develop, implement, monitor and report outcomes associated with the program as well as bringing Stroke and Sepsis related knowledge and evidence-based outcomes to the facility and the community it serves. The Stroke & Sepsis Coordinator is responsible for the Stroke & Sepsis Program development, quality assessment, improvement and inter/intra disciplinary communications. The Stroke & Sepsis Coordinator will work collaboratively with all hospital and clinic personnel on performance improvement projects.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Coordinates the development, implementation, review, and revision of Stroke & Sepsis standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.

· Responsible for serving as registry content expert to accurately complete clinical registry element requirements, in compliance with national registry guidelines. Responsible for identification and enrollment of clinical registry candidates according to national registry guidelines. Uses critical thinking and independent judgement to determine appropriate categorization of data elements and outcomes.

· Incorporates knowledge of AHA Guidelines as well as emerging science and evidence-based practice into Stroke program standards.

· Participates in Acute Stroke & Sepsis Code activations (when available) to ensure protocols are followed

· Leads and participates in performance improvement processes.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field OR Five years of acute care, critical care, neuroscience, or stroke related nursing experience AND 2 years progressive leadership experience.

· Registered Nurse

· Master's degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field (APRN, etc.)

· Experience as stroke coordinator or with accreditation of stroke programs

· Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
