Structural Analysis Engineer
Exciting Aerospace Structural Analysis Engineer 5!! Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will plan and organize structural analysis work at the program level to ensure compliance with structural integrity and stability requirements. You will develop, integrate, and document complex structural requirements to establish the system design, and guide product design by defining requirements for the development of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools. This position also involves working with customers and regulatory agencies to define certification processes, developing test plans, supporting test execution, and analyzing test results. You will work under consultative direction in a non-managerial, non-leadership role, requiring regular and predictable attendance. Responsibilities + Plan and organize structural analysis work at the program level to ensure compliance with structural integrity and stability requirements. + Develop, integrate, and document complex structural requirements to establish the system design. + Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. + Guide product design and verify structural integrity by defining requirements for the development of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools. + Work with customers and regulatory agencies to define certification processes to ensure requirements are met. + Review and approve certification results. + Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. + Define and organize test programs to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. + Develop analytical processes/tools to improve the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort. + Investigate emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements. Essential Skills + Classical Hand Analysis of Primary Structures + FEM experience in aircraft stress analysis/structural analysis + Integrated design layout development experience + Experience with structural engineering, NASTRAN, design, stress analysis, FEA, and structural design + Experience with aerospace structural analysis, ANSYS, and fatigue analysis + Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry + Typically 14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with both structures and tools + Primary Aircraft Structure experience + Aerospace experience + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment + Experience with applications related to 737, 747, 757, and 777 aircraft + ABET accreditation preferred but not required + US person required + Ability to obtain clearance is a plus but not required Work Environment This position is located onsite in Huntsville, AL, working from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role is full-time with up to 25 hours of overtime available. The work environment includes a fully onsite facility, no military bases, and no relocation offered. The interview process involves a 30-minute phone interview, with a turnaround time for the offer between 48 hours to 1 week. The role does not require travel and is not safety-sensitive. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
