Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment characteristics and performance. Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Work under general direction in a non-managerial, non-leadership role with regular and predictable attendance required. Essential Skills + Classical Hand Analysis of Primary Structure + FEM experience in aircraft stress analysis/structural analysis + Integrated design layout development experience Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with both structures and tools in aerospace industry + Primary Aircraft Structure experience + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment + Familiarity with applications for aircraft models such as 737, 747, 757, 777 + Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience) + ABET accreditation preferred, although not required Work Environment Fully onsite at a facility in Huntsville, AL. Shift starts at 8 AM and ends at 5 PM with potential for up to 25 hours of overtime. This is a full-time position with no relocation offered. The position is not safety-sensitive and requires no travel. Interviews will be conducted through a single round 30-minute phone interview, with a turnaround time from interview to offer between 48 hours to 1 week. No clearance is required, but the ability to obtain a clearance is a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00/hr.
