Structural Bridge Engineer | Providence, RI | Hybrid

This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and impactful bridge projects across Rhode Island and New England. Responsibilities

Perform structural modeling and design of highway, pedestrian and railroad bridges and other structuresCreate plans and digital models of the bridges and highway bridge approachesPerform bridge inspectionsDevelop construction cost estimatesPrepare contract documentsReview fabrication drawings and provide construction plan reviews 

Skills and Attributes

Strong technical skills in bridge/structural design Experience developing design reports, plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivated and commitment to learningExcellent attention to detail Training and mentoring skillsEffective and comfortable in a highly collaborative team environment  AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenBridge, MicroStation v8 and Connect experience is a strong plus

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study (structural emphasis preferred)5-8 years of professional structural/transportation/bridge design experience required (master’s degree may substitute for 1 year of experience)8-11 years of professional structural/transportation/bridge design experience preferredPE license requiredSuccessful completion of NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges training a plusFamiliarity with structural modeling/engineering software is a plus
