YOUR ROLE As an entry-level Structural Bridge Engineer, you will be fully engaged in project work, making a difference in the communities you serve. The Engineer will be responsible for structural analysis, design, and project engineering for transportation-related structural projects within the public agency and private market. These responsibilities include: + Serving in a lead or support technical role, depending on project complexity. + Preparation of calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and, at times, task or project management. + Day-to-day design decisions on bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, including production and scheduling. + Working in a team environment, both internally and externally. + Active involvement in client interaction at the project level. + Leverage design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation + Write and complete technical reports and project correspondences. YOUR STRENGTHS + Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural + Current Engineer-In-Training (EIT) licensure or willing to obtain soon after hire + 0-3+ years of relevant experience in bridge design work + Understanding of design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation + Principal knowledge of load calculations, structural analysis, and design + Effective communicator, both written and verbal Morrison-Maierle is not accepting 3rd party agency solicitation requests now.
