Structural Design Engineer Begin an exciting new role as a Structural Design Engineer! Actalent is searching for an on-site Structural Design Engineer to assist the Professional Engineer in designing tasks including steel frame connections, platform systems, and other building structural items. There is opportunity to grow within the company and take part in the growing project portfolio. Responsibilities + Engineering design and calculations for structural and miscellaneous steel systems + Reviewing fabrication drawings to specifications + Maintaining projects timelines and quality procedures + Effective communication with teammates and management + Accurate technical reporting, formal reporting, and drawing redlines + Problem solving in both fabrication and field issues + Evaluates designs for overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety + Adherence to Quality Control procedures Qualifications + 0-2 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis + Knowledge of AutoCAD, experience with Risa 3d is a plus + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
