Structural Design Engineer

Begin an exciting new role as a Structural Design Engineer! Actalent is searching for an on-site Structural Design Engineer to assist the Professional Engineer in designing tasks including steel frame connections, platform systems, and other building structural items. There is opportunity to grow within the company and take part in the growing project portfolio.

Responsibilities

Engineering design and calculations for structural and miscellaneous steel systemsReviewing fabrication drawings to specificationsMaintaining projects timelines and quality proceduresEffective communication with teammates and managementAccurate technical reporting, formal reporting, and drawing redlinesProblem solving in both fabrication and field issuesEvaluates designs for overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safetyAdherence to Quality Control procedures

Qualifications

0-2 years of experienceBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural EmphasisKnowledge of AutoCAD, experience with Risa 3d is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelAbout Actalent
