Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer with expertise in heavy foundation and structural steel design. The role involves designing pipe racks to understand loads, as well as structural and civil design for nuclear power plants. You will work on numerous foundations for tanks, where designs are relatively small.

ResponsibilitiesDesign heavy foundations and structural steel components.Develop designs for pipe racks to understand load requirements.Perform structural and civil design for nuclear power plants.Conduct structural calculations and design studies.Use AutoCAD for design work.Review relevant codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support structural design and project development.Prepare engineering designs and drawings based on the contracted scope of work, project specifications, within established budgets and schedules.Follow written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures.Collaborate with multi-discipline engineers and designers.Essential Skills8+ years of experience in structural engineering.Experience with utility, power plant, or industrial project scopes.Proficiency in structural calculations and design studies.Experience with industry standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ANSYS, and Mathcad.Strong communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-discipline teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsB.S. in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus.Experience with seismic analysis and design for nuclear power plants.Experience with AutoDesk Advance Steel.Professional Engineering (PE) license in any state within the US, with the ability to obtain additional licenses through comity.Work EnvironmentThe position offers a hybrid schedule, requiring on-site presence in Mt. Laurel. You will be working on new projects, with significant opportunities for growth both domestically and internationally. The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00
