Structural Design Engineer (Boeing)

A REMOTE Structural Design Engineer job in the aerospace industry is currently available at Belcan working at one of our design centers or if applicable remotely. This is a full-time, direct job with benefit. Great matching candidate will have experience designing structural components to aerospace standards using CATIA V5 or newer. You will design, draft, and release engineering documentation for components, assemblies and/or installation for commercial aircraft.
Job Duties:
· Create or modify 3D designs of structural and secondary structure components such as but not limited brackets, braces, struts, braces and rods.
· Create 2D drawings using GD&T
· Assist with the release process of engineering documentation
· Follow customer and industry standards
· Assist with material and design selection on complex components
· Help assist team members with supporting work tasks, and peer reviews
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ related field or years of equivalent experience
· 5+ years' experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
· Knowledge and application of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) preferred
· Ability to effectively present oral and written engineering requirements and results
· Create new or update existing drawings following Customer standards to incorporate design solutions
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
· Develops solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems which require ingenuity and innovation
· Helps solve problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance Works according to established guidelines.
· Ensures application of best practices and identifies the need for enhanced processes, methods, and tools
· Is proficient within a specific functional capacity
· Effective oral and written collaborative engineering environment communication skills
· Ability to effectively present oral and written engineering requirements and results
· Ability to work seamlessly in an IPT environment and across facilities and groups
· Requires educational credentials meeting the classification standards for engineers
· US Citizenship is required
· Relevant technological knowledge.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Ability to lead others, work independently, and in a team environment.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $65,000 to $120,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
