Responsibilities Responsibility for the civil and structural design, including conceptual, front end and detailed design activities on a variety of industrial projects.Interacting and communicating with own department, other departments, project team members, clients and other external parties to ensure co-ordination of activities.Preparing technical documents, including checking as appropriate, in accordance with agreed schedules and local legislation and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.Planning and delivering multiple tasks in a timely fashion to meet project schedules.Delivering project work within budgeted man-hours.Providing site support for construction, installation, commissioning, modification and qualification.Managing design personnel and team as required.Buildinging relationships in partnership with clients and contractors and other members of design teams.A proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.Site/construction/operational experience would also be very beneficial.Use of civil engineering software as Tekla, Tekla TEDDS, Robot and/or Staad.Pro, PDS, Autotrack, AUTOCAD, REVIT.Knowledge of BIM collab/ AC.Key Deliverables
Produce civil and structural deliverables including:Site excavation detailsGround condition surveyProposed foundations description/basis/drawingsFoundation drawingsDrainage drawingsSite plan showing roads/car parks/infrastructureDemolition drawingsUnderground utilities drawingsSite grading drawingsBuilding structure description/basis/drawingsSecondary steelwork details/drawingsPipe rack details/drawingsInteraction with contractor including:Technical preparation of vendor bid documentsTechnical bid analysis of sameReview of deliverables prepared by vendors Qualifications Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 10 years experienceExperience in the following industries is a distinct advantage:PharmaceuticalBiotechnologyMedical devices Food/ nutritionalExperience of working with a design house or engineering companyGood knowledge of Dutch and/or French and English
