Our client, a leading High-Tech facilities contractor specialising in delivering high-quality solutions for complex projects, with dedication to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction, is in need of a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer. As a Structural Engineer you will be responsible for designing, supervising, and analysing the construction of projects, collaborating with client’s representatives, supply chain, project manager, and stakeholders to review and manage projects from inception to handover ensuring the quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Develop structural designs in collaboration with Project Manager, Project Supervisor, Site Safety Manager & Stakeholders to carry out accurate calculations ensuring the structural integrity & safety of the designs.
Manage the preparation of design documents, drawings, and specifications ensuring alignment with project standards, timelines & budgetary limitations.
Carry out site visits to monitor construction progress including checking if the secondary steelwork load is within the capacity of the primary structure and members.
Address structural issues during construction & provide technical guidance to the site temporary workers, and third parties in installation activities.
Conduct inspections and assessments of structures and ensure designs comply with all relevant quality standards, codes, and regulations.
Prepare monthly detailed reports and documentation of design and construction processes to the Project Manager.
Proactively join site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination, and handover meetings when needed.
Degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture or related field.
Significant years of experience as Structural Engineer particularly in steel and concrete construction.
Proficient in Structural Engineering software & tools.
Strong understanding of structural detailing and calculations.
Detail oriented with focus on accuracy & quality.
Excellent communication skills in English and German with the ability to collaborate effectively with our German stakeholders.
