Structural Engineer
Job Title: Structural EngineerJob Description Perform structural engineering design and analysis for identified systems under the close supervision of a senior engineer. Participate in project-related meetings to coordinate activities and communicate designs. Assist with the preparation of engineering deliverables. Participate in field surveys, condition assessments, and site investigations. Perform construction administration-related tasks including submittal review, responding to RFIs, and observation of construction-related activities. Responsibilities + Conduct structural engineering design and analysis for various systems. + Coordinate activities and communicate designs during project-related meetings. + Assist with the preparation of engineering deliverables. + Participate in field surveys, condition assessments, and site investigations. + Perform construction administration tasks such as submittal review, responding to RFIs, and observing construction activities. Essential Skills + 2-5 years of building structural engineering experience. + MS Degree in Structural Engineering required. + BS in Structural Engineering. + Strong communication and presentation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with RAM Structural System and SAP2000 is a plus. + Revit experience is a plus but not required (training will be provided). Work Environment The office is an open-office environment with a collaborative atmosphere. The candidate will work closely with the Building Structural team, which includes 2 Senior Engineers and 2 junior engineers. The role is production-based. The candidate will work on public projects, including education facilities and local government work, as well as residential projects. The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:15 pm, and Friday from 7:30 am to 11:30 am with remote half days. The dress code is business professional, with business casual from Monday to Thursday and slightly less business casual on Fridays. The building is LEED Platinum certified, offering ample parking and preferred parking for hybrid vehicles. The office features an open floor plan with lots of natural light and a kitchen with a microwave and tables.
