With your vast in-depth technical knowledge you are the structural/ mechanical specialist within equipment development projects. As a Mechanical/ Structural Engineer you are part of the R&D-Fabrication department, responsible for the in-house equipment developments. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING From your role as Mechanical/ Structural/ Design Engineer, you have the opportunity to make an important contribution to the development of one-off equipment. Your technical knowledge and analytical ability play an important role in this. Conceptual design to meet all technical and operational requirements from the start; Basic and detailed design of new structures and machines (modifications) in cooperation with lead engineers and other disciplines, such as hydraulics and electrical; Preparing structural calculations of new and existing equipment by means of conventional calculations and FEM; Provide guidance and further develop Engineers within the team; Liaising with internal and external clients to ensure requirements are met; Instructing the drafting team to create the workshop drawings of your design; WHAT YOU’LL NEED Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or Automotive Engineering; 5+ years of experience in broad and deep mechanical or structural engineering; Strong analytical skills to analyze complicated structures; Ability to write and check technical reports and presentations, as well as presenting calculations and analysis results; Good written and verbal English communication skills; Open and communicative; Computer skills must include AutoCAD, FEM Software (preferably SCIA Engineer and/or Ansys) and Microsoft Office.
