Structural Engineer Associate
The Structural Engineer Associate conducts structural analyses of varying complexity on structures such as communication towers, water tanks, platforms, mounts, rooftop structures, and their foundations. This role involves preparing detailed, written reports on structural capacities and recommendations for modifications to ensure compliance with relevant codes. Responsibilities may also include reviewing new tower designs, designing tower foundations, and creating both basic and complex modifications for existing structures and foundations. The incumbent may also perform quality control reviews of engineering services completed by other engineers and conduct field inspections, including climbed inspections, to document existing conditions through photographs, measurements, and notes. Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering or a related field + PE license preferred but not required + 2+ years of structural engineering experience + Telecommunication experience required + Proficiency in structural analysis software Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Strong attention to detail and accuracy + Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment + Effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly + Strong project management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines and customer needs + Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively + Ability to interact professionally with individuals across all organizational levels + Proven ability to build and maintain solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and structural analysis software + Knowledge of and adherence to industry regulations and safety practices Essential Functions: + Review engineering service requests to ensure adequate information is provided + Analyze telecom structures and foundations for various tenant configurations + Perform structural analyses using hand calculations, software, and other methods + Design modifications for tower reinforcement, extensions, and foundations + Conduct quality assurance (QA) reviews and finalize structural analysis reports + Prepare required engineering reports + Respond to structure-related inquiries from internal and external clients + Stay updated on technical developments in tower engineering + Perform specialized engineering tasks involving complex calculations + Assist with resolving complex problems + Provide accurate project status updates to facilitate customer and sales reporting System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
