Turner Industries Group is looking for experienced Structural Fitter for shop positions in Decatur, AL. The ideal candidate will have industrial maintenance experience as well as industrial pipefitting experience.\n\n40 Hours; Overtime as needed\nMust be able to pass pre-employment drug test\nPer diem and relocation are not available for this position\nCandidates must be able to pass craft test\n\n
\nResponsibilities:\n\nRead Blueprints, section and plan drawings, and weld symbols;\nMust be able to read and derive measurements, dimensions, and quantity of material needed to fabricate a structure;\nFabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes, and plates for structural fabrication of platforms, pipe racks, staircases, handrails and MISC pipe supports. \nOperate misc shop equipment\n\n
\n

Qualification Standards:\n\nOne (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)\nWritten pre-employment qualification test\nPost-offer drug\/alcohol screen \nJob site safety requirements as required by the client (long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)\n\n
\n

Physical Involvement:\n

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and\/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching\/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction \n
