Your Role & Impact

As a Structural Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing aircraft structures and components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance. You’ll work hands-on with flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and other mechanical components, helping keep cutting-edge aircraft mission-ready.

What You’ll Do:

Repair and overhaul aircraft structures, focusing on F/A-18 EF Trailing Edge Flaps

Perform structural modifications, sheet metal repairs, and component replacements

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in airframe and power plant systems

Interpret technical documentation, including blueprints and manufacturer manuals

Use precision tools, such as torque wrenches, micrometers, dial indicators, and sheet metal brakes/shears

Ensure compliance with technical publications and maintenance logs

Occasionally lead teams through complex aircraft-related tasks

Maintain regular, predictable attendance and meet workload priorities

What You Need to Succeed:

 Required:

Hands-on experience with aircraft mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and structural modifications

Proficiency in close tolerance drilling and blueprint reading

Experience using aircraft-specific tools and precision measurement instruments

Basic knowledge of electrical theory

MS Office Suite proficiency for documentation and reporting

Ability to prioritize workload and maintain project schedules

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license. 
 

 Preferred (but not required):

 Experience with military aircraft maintenance (F/A-18 preferred)

 Knowledge of technical publications and aircraft log entries

Pay Details: $26.62 to $33.69 per hour
