Boeing Aerospace OperationsPosition Responsibilities:
Fabricates and assembles metal components and makes major/minor repairs to aircraft skin; installs rivets and metal fasteners.Performs Daily, pre and post flight and periodic inspections on aircraft.Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.Works under general direction.There is a great deal of standing, climbing, bending and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.Ability to read and interpret technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Work may be performed outdoors under all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes.This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim
and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Minimum of 1 year of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance
Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
Minimum of 1 year of experience reading and interpreting technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Must be able to work outdoors under all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes
