Structures Mechanic
**Aerotek, on behalf of it's client is seeking Aircraft Structures Mechanics in a MRO on firefighting and heavy lift utility Helicopters . Work site is located in Aurora, OR. Local pay : $Local: 28-32/hr Non-local: 31.25/hr, 166/day per diem (total comp $52).** **Job Description** + Working in a MRO environment, the Structures Technician will disassemble, repair, fabricate parts as necessary, reassemble, install, and document maintenance actions on heavy-lift helicopters, primarily Boeing CH-47 airframes (Model 107, Model 234 firefighting and heavy lift utility) + .Review task card, read and interpret maintenance manual and blueprints, use hand tools, power tools, and machine tools to remove, inspect, fabricate replacement parts, repair, reassemble, and document. Frequent removal and installation of standard and blind rivets, drilling/reaming/riveting to close tolerance with an eye to countersink depth. + Initial schedule is 5 days a week (8am - 4:30pm) for several weeks, then will move to a 4-day schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri. **Hard Skills** + 4+ years aircraft structures experience + Read and interpret maintenance manuals and blueprints + Use of hand tools, power tools, and machine tools + Fabrication of replacement parts + Drilling/reaming/riveting to close tolerance Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
