Structures Mechanic

Aerotek, on behalf of its client, is seeking Aircraft Structures Mechanics for an MRO on firefighting and heavy lift utility helicopters.

Compensation:

Local Pay: $28-32/hrNon-local Pay: $31.25/hr with $166/day per diem (total compensation $52/hr).

Job Description: Working in an MRO environment, the Structures Technician will:

Disassemble, repair, fabricate parts as necessary, reassemble, install, and document maintenance actions on heavy-lift helicopters, primarily Boeing CH-47 airframes (Model 107, Model 234 firefighting and heavy lift utility).Review task cards, read and interpret maintenance manuals and blueprints.Use hand tools, power tools, and machine tools to remove, inspect, fabricate replacement parts, repair, reassemble, and document.Frequently remove and install standard and blind rivets, drilling/reaming/riveting to close tolerance with an eye to countersink depth.

Schedule:

Initial schedule: 5 days a week (8am - 4:30pm) for several weeks.Transition to a 4-day schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri.

Hard Skills Required:

4+ years of aircraft structures experience.Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and blueprints.Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machine tools.Experience in fabricating replacement parts.Skilled in drilling/reaming/riveting to close tolerance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $52.00/hr.
