Structuring and Nexus Middle Office Associate

Nexus Platform - Nexus is J.P. Morgan’s platform for cross-asset synthetic strategies.

Unfunded customized synthetics exposure on multi-assets on a single wrapper. The Nexus team facilitate client onboarding and set ups so client can execute their own strategies leveraging JPMorgan’s extensive global footprint across global exchanges including otherwise hard to access markets, at competitive rates. The plat form handles all operational aspects including financing, borrow, cash flows, corporate actions, exchange membership, margining, settlement, clearing, reporting, administration and custody. This can lower cost for investors and managers and increase speed of execution.

 The Structuring Team -

 The Algo Structuring Team create Tradable Indices which are algorithmic strategies tracking the performance of a rules-based strategy that invests in public, listed financial instruments across one or many asset classes. These strategies are offered to our Client via swaps, options, Structured Products and Funds. Our Nexus Structuring Team provides an end to end scalable solution to our Clients to manage their own strategies, leveraging the firms trading and operational expertise.

 

The Team and the candidate

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our esteemed Nexus and Structuring team. This role is integral to advancing our strategic objectives and providing unparalleled support to our global clientele. As a member of our global Middle Office team, with operations in New York, London, and Mumbai, you will be instrumental in managing operational processes and ensuring excellence in service delivery.

In this capacity, you will collaborate extensively with the Structuring team, Trading, Quantitative Research, Derivatives Analytics Group, and Technology. Your primary focus will be to ensure the precise and timely publication of client reports and tradable indices. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in diverse initiatives and projects, providing exposure to various teams and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and enhancement of a robust Control Framework. Support global team management to ensure efficient daily operations. Conduct thorough root cause analysis and facilitate effective resolution of discrepancies. Manage republications and perform comprehensive impact analysis. Oversee EID Management and ensure prompt and effective mailbox management. Contribute to the management of ongoing projects across multiple streams, including infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and control enhancements. Assist in compiling and presenting governance materials for various executive forums. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and lead by example.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proactive self-starter with a strong results-driven and control-focused mindset. Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in high-pressure environments. Expertise in analyzing complex process flows and developing efficient, controlled processes in partnership with stakeholders. Solid understanding of tradable indices and cross-asset market data. Advanced proficiency in Excel and innovative problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication skills with a strong emphasis on control and attention to detail. Comprehensive understanding of the trade lifecycle and the downstream impact of Middle Office activities. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Dedication to delivering superior customer service to both internal and external clients. Confident and engaging personality, capable of fostering a collaborative team environment.
