What you’ll do

Providing analytical support for the team’s economics, pricing, and forecasting functionsImproving the effectiveness of our performance reporting for sales, trading, and scheduling teamsSupporting daily management of all HMSC logistical functions including fleet planning, product scheduling, & inventory managementAnalyzing monthly product sales requirements and assisting in the development of schedules for the movement of those refined products through pipeline, rail, and truckProviding back-up to pipeline, terminal, truck, and rail schedulersConducting market studies and analysisDeveloping standard reports and responding to data requestsWork to develop of provide inputs into LP modelsProviding statistical analyses and information regarding business activitiesPreparing and presenting an industry project to a variety of key stakeholders, including HMSC leadership

Who you are

Available to begin work in May 2025Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship for this role will not be provided.As this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, a valid US Driver's License is requiredPrevious experience is considered an assetStrong attitude for carrying out all work in a safe, cautious manner while following safe work practices.Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education 

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, or related disciplinePreference will be given to students in 3rd or 4th yearAvailability for multiple work terms is preferredStrong academic performanceAbility to work 40 hours per week during the scheduled semesterAttached copies of transcripts

Working Conditions

May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc. 

Safety Sensitive

This is a safety sensitive role and as such you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the Cenovus pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.Safety sensitive positions require the operation of a motor vehicle. A valid US Driver’s License with no restrictions is a requirement for this role.
