This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in refinery operations and optimization. You'll work on a variety of tasks that directly impact both daily operations and long-term strategic goals.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
Fuel blendingLogistics (pipeline, rail, and truck)Value Chain PlanningData Collection and AnalysisCollecting and analyzing data for the Daily Operating PlanSupporting the initial stages of planning for capital investment projectsTesting and modeling stream and tank samples to improve laboratory efficiency and minimize product giveawayOversee gasoline blending functions, ensuring alignment with pipeline schedules and truck rack demandPrepare and deliver presentations to summarize project progress and contributionsParticipate in daily refinery operations meetings, monitor refinery blends, prepare blending reports, and contribute to team updatesQualifications
Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship for this role will not be providedAvailable to begin work on or around May 5th, 2025Currently enrolled in an Engineering program, specifically Chemical, Mechanical, or CivilEducation
Must be enrolled in an Engineering Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work termCandidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered New graduates are not eligible for student opportunitiesSafety Sensitive
