Job Summary The University of Kentucky’s Smart Campus department is seeking a proactive and engaging Student Attendant to support the day-to-day operations of the Cornerstone facility, UKFCU Esports Lounge and other Smart Campus programs. This entry-level role will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests, assist with events and maintain facility operations.Key Responsibilities:
Guest Relations: Greet and assist Smart Campus/Cornerstone visitors, including event hosts, Esports lounge patrons, students, families, and UK Staff. Provide tours to all guests. Support front desk operations including guest check-in’s, answer questions and ensure guest safety.

Facility Maintenance: Keep key areas are clean, organized and secure. Report maintenance and custodial tasks. Safeguard equipment. Program and Event Support: Assist in planning, marketing and running both online and in-person leagues and tournaments. Work closely with Esports program leadership to enhance engagement. Gather feedback from event attendees to aid in program development. Technical Proficiency: Provide basic tech support for Esports and Smart Campus equipment. Learn streaming and production tools. General Duties: Follow cash-handling procedures. Contribute ideas to grow a healthy community through each program. Maintain a regular work schedule.


Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Work independently and research information. Interest in or knowledge of Esports and event management is highly advantageous. Proficiency with social media platforms and basic technical equipment.


Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.
