This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.

For 2025, we are recruiting college students or recent grads to teach math or language arts for 6 weeks this summer. Each teacher is assigned a classroom of 5-8 children, who are grouped by proficiency. Many of our students are below grade level but thrive in our small classrooms. Teachers are given a lot of room for creativity and teaching methods. You do not need to be an Education Major! 
 
A stipend of $2,800 is provided. The day begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends most days around 4:30 p.m. Each teacher helps with breakfast and lunch, afternoon activities, and programming. A 5-day mandatory training will be held prior to the beginning of school. Certified teachers in all subjects will be present every day of school to guide, advise and help. The program is located on the campus of Louisville Collegiate School.
 

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Maturity, patience, and compassion. Knowledge of basic math or language arts is required. Teaching Fellows are key to our students’ success and only highly motivated candidates will be considered.
