Student Accounts Clerk
Occupational Summary: The Student Accounts Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the operations of the Student Accounts office. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of student account payments and departmental deposits, as well as providing assistance to students and families seeking support. As a customer-focused role, this position demands exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and other stakeholders. Stewardship Statement:  This position is responsible for cultivating and maintaining the institution's Catholic identity and its mission to empower graduates to transform society. Work Performed: + Provide service to students, parents, and personnel ensuring prompt, courteous, and professional service. + Receipt and process departmental deposits, via cash, check, or electronic funds. + Maintain student accounts phone and email inboxes. + Assist in processing student billing statements. + Prepare third-party invoices. + Manage advanced standing (dual enrollment) payment and payment plans. + Verify student payment plans. + Manage holds on student accounts. + Performs any other duties as assigned. + Complete all University-required training, including FERPA and Title IX. + Perform all other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements: + High School Diploma is required. + At least 1 to 2 years of customer service and office experience. + At least 1 to 2 years of cashiering experience preferred. + Computer literacy, including the ability to learn and use appropriate software and websites. + Ability to work in a busy office setting and handle frequent interruptions. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills with organization, planning, decision-making, time management, and listening skills. + Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative. + Ability to maintain confidentiality and right to privacy. + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
